My trip to the San Luis Valley.......
Sept 2-5, 2005
Visiting the San Luis Valley is always a trip down memory Lane.  My dad's family is rooted  in the San Luis Valley.  I spent alot of time as a child and young adult  visiting my aunts and uncles and my grandmother who lived in Monte Vista.
Mt Blanca greets all who visit the San Luis Valley.
Looking out across from the view point on the south side of Wolf Creek Pass.
Lots of moisture brings lots of Toadstools!
Visiting friends near Pagosa Springs we  went for  walk with cameras in hand.
I spent some time visiting in Fox Creek and also up near Creede.  The mountains are always wonderful and this year they are especially green.
The views along the Rio Grande River going up towards Creede are wonderful.  I have lots of memories of fishing up and down this river with my grandmother.
Lots of  different textures and colors.
A young grouse ran up the trail ahead of me!
Not very often that you catch a hummer at rest!
The view west along the Conejos River near Fox Creek Colorado. The land of many of my ancestors.
